Do you fix the vehicle for me?
No. Mechanic Direct provides advice and guidance only. Any work is carried out by you or your chosen mechanic/workshop.
What kinds of vehicles do you help with?
We help with diesel and petrol vehicles — 4WDs, touring rigs, cars, commercial and work vehicles. You’ll choose a category during intake so we can route you correctly.
Can you guarantee the diagnosis or outcome?
No guarantees. Advice is based on experience and the information you provide. If anything sounds unsafe or uncertain, we’ll recommend stopping and getting an in-person inspection.
What should I prepare before the call?
Vehicle details, what the symptoms are (and when they started), any warning lights or fault codes (if available), recent work done, and whether you’re at home or remote.
What if my issue is urgent or unsafe?
Safety comes first. If there are red flags (overheating, severe knocking, loss of oil pressure, brake issues, fuel leaks, etc.), we’ll tell you to stop and get safe. We also won’t provide illegal or dangerous instructions.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
